We aim to provide an honest and quality service and a competitive price. If you are comparing prices, it is important to also compare the level of service and attention to detail that you will receive.

Direct Cremation (Unattended)

Increasing numbers of people are opting for a direct cremation as an alternative to a traditional funeral service.

This keeps costs to a minimum, there are no visits to the Chapel of Rest, we will choose the crematorium and the date and time of the service, there is no procession and no service.

This does not mean that you cannot have a memorial service at another time after the cremation has taken place.

These cost include:

Arranging the cremation, completing all the necessary paperwork and delivering it to the Crematorium

Removal of your loved one to our Chapel of Rest (within a 15 mile radius)

Advice on certification and registration

A simple veneer coffin with nameplate

Transfer of the coffin to the Crematorium in a suitable vehicle

Direct Burial (Unattended)

£1200.00 + burial fees

These costs include:

Arranging the burial, completing all the necessary paperwork and delivering it to the burial authority.

Removal of your loved one to our Chapel of Rest (within a 15 mile radius)

Advice on certification and registration

A simple veneer coffin with nameplate

Transfer to the Churchyard or Cemetery for burial in a suitable vehicle

Intimate Funeral £2600

Alex Willis Funeral Home is the only funeral home in the area which has a small chapel where you can hold a small intimate funeral service. The chapel can seat up to 30 people giving you dignified personal funeral service. You can decide on the type of service you would like whether it be conducted by a family member, civil celebrant or minister of religion. The service would take place in our chapel followed by a direct cremation at Lancaster & Morecambe Crematorium the following day.

The intimate funeral consists of:

Alex Willis taking care of all legal and administrative arrangements
Removal of your loved one into our care (during normal working hours)
Care of your loved one and use of our Chapel of Rest
A ‘Prenton’ oak veneer coffin with either brass or chrome effect handles and name plate
Services of a minister or celebrant
Lancaster & Morecambe Direct cremation fee
Suitable vehicle for the direct cremation

This service can be tailored to suit your needs, such supplying vehicles on the day of the service, printing of the Order of Service, arranging catering, newspaper notices, etc. These would be charged separately from the above price.

Simple Funeral

£2125.00 + disbursements

Arranging the service at a venue and on a day and time of your choice

Completing all the necessary paperwork and delivering it to the Crematorium or burial authority

Removal of your loved one to our Chapel of Rest (within a 15 mile radius)

Care of your loved one prior to the funeral service and use of our Chapel of Rest

A ‘Dallam’ oak veneer coffin with brass effect or chrome effect handles and name plate

Supply of a Jaguar hearse with bearers

Arranging any catering, newspaper notices, Order of Service, floral tributes and collection of donations.

Traditional Funeral

£2400.00 + disbursements

Arranging the service at a venue and on a day and time of your choice

Completing all the necessary paperwork and delivering it to the Crematorium or burial authority

Removal of your loved one to our Chapel of Rest (within a 15 mile radius)

Care of your loved one prior to the funeral service and use of our Chapel of Rest

A ‘Dallam’ oak veneer coffin with brass effect or chrome effect handles and name plate

Supply of Jaguar limousine
