Memorials with Alex Willis Funeral Home

The final resting place for the cremated remains/ashes can be decided before or after the funeral service. They can be scattered or interred at our local crematorium, here they offer a selection of memorialisation which will be sent out in a letter to you after the funeral service.

The ashes can be interred in a family grave or in one of our local cemeteries Garden of Remembrance, in your parish churchyard or you may want to scatter them in a more personal or private location.

If you are unsure what to do or need advice on this matter please give our office a call.

Once the burial has taken place, you may now be thinking of fixing a memorial to the grave. The memorial will not be able to be put in place for a short while as the ground would need to settle, however, this does not mean that you cannot instruct us to proceed with the purchase and inscription of the memorial.

Cemeteries are council maintained and therefore you must comply with their rules and regulations, this restricts what memorials can be used.

Churchyards have a different set of rules and permission should be sought from the incumbent of the church in question.

If you need any advice on memorials please contact our office and we will help in any way we can.
